The ‘good’ people of Osogbo and members of Omo Oloore movement have continued showering encomiums on Governor of Osun State, Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola, for enlisting one of their illustrious sons, Eng. Lekan Badmus, as one of his commissioner nominees.
Osogbo people who described the laudable gesture of the governor as one which had put the last doubters of his administration to silence by conjuring a list of technocrats with youthful drive and energy needed to pilot the affairs of the state.
According to Mr Taiwo Sanni, who is the spokesman of Omo Oloore Movement, ”This administration would be remembered for putting the love of the people of the state first and it is all thanks to the levelheadedness of the anchorman at Bola Ige House who is ready to trade his interests for the sake of the people.
”One of such nuggets is the list that was recently postulated by Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, for ease of governance in the state and despite the limping state of the economy of the state, he still thought it wise to come up with flank men who would help stand guard at critical sectors of the economy within the state.
”Without mincing words, a careful look at the list would communicate to you that our governor is a lover of youth, energy, technocrats, expertise and patriotism for he has been able to display that with the choice of his team.”
Sanni added that the list, which had an equal representation of both Muslims and Christians with 60 % of the members as youth and about 25% as women, showed that the Governor is ready to work with a view of piloting the affairs of the state to an enviable height.
He also appreciated the people of the state for their perpetual steadfastness and for maintaining peace in the state, while saying that they are reason why the state ranked among the safest places to live in the country and also charged them to continuing supporting the administration so as to achieve a good result and mission promise to further deliver the good benefit of democracy to Osun people.
Sanni however assured the people of the state that the commissioner nominee would bring his vast experience on board just as he has displayed in the private sector and so expect a very hardworking man irrespective of the ministry he is made to take charge of in the coming years.
It would be recalled that the governor forwarded the list of 35 commissioners and Special Advisers to the State House of Assembly for screening on Tuesday and among the list was Eng. Badmus, who is a staunch member of All Progressives Congress in the state.
